Providing oversight without micromanaging is a critical role of every board, and there is now an increased need for accurate quantitative and qualitative data to demonstrate a nonprofit’s success. Assessment is fundamental to improving any nonprofit and to soliciting and justifying funding, especially as accountability practices and standards grow more sophisticated.

New user-friendly tools, such as dashboards, can provide boards with clear displays of performance measures to drill down into a more detailed, refined understanding of organizational and program effectiveness. This training will focus on the information that a board needs and its appropriate engagement to meet set goals.
